Clean, Homemade, Sugar Free Apple Sauce

I find most of the store bought apple sauce contains added nasties and even sugar! Making your own apple sauce is soooo easy and that way you know just what’s in it.

Makes 1 medium jar of apple sauce:
3 pink lady apples, diced with skins on.
1 cup of water
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cinnamon – optional, but who doesn’t love cinnamon?

● Place all the ingredients in a pot, cover & bring to the boil.
● Once boiled, turn down to low and simmer for 40 minutes, stirring every 10ish minutes. Cooking time will depend on how big your apple pieces are.
● Allow to cool and then pop it in a food processor and blend until smooth.
● Store in a jar in the fridge.
